Bill O’Reilly has given us many things to think about over the years with his talking point memos, and last night was no exception. He has been closely investigating the way the Clinton email investigation was handled, and he had a very direct challenge for the Obama administration:
O’Reilly is calling on the president to appoint an independent prosecutor for the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Naturally, O’Reilly expressed doubts about that ever happening:
“We all know Mr. Obama is not going to do that,” O’Reilly continued. “But he should. We need honest government.” Of course, honest government is a bit of a stretch considering the nepotism that occurs in the Obama administration. Will the administration that promised to be the “most transparent in history” step up to the plate?
Admittedly, it looks doubtful. Bill O’Reilly explained during this memo that many Americans believed “the fix was in” during this investigation and the case regarding the IRS and its targeting of conservative groups.
Lois Lerner was never held responsible for her actions when she audited right-wing groups more often than left-wing groups, and Attorney General Eric Holder never did an effective job explaining why this was so.
Moreover, O’Reilly is also questioning the number of immunity deals granted during the Clinton email investigation. Never one to mince words, O’Reilly said the whole situation is “strange to say the least.”
“The FBI and the Justice Department have a lot of explaining to do on the email front,” O’Reilly said.
O’Reilly has always demonstrated that he has a solid connection to the pulse of America, and this case was no different. Americans are angry, and they want their leaders to be held accountable.
They want a message to be sent to Washington that they are tired of the double standard. They are fed up with high-ranking officials like Clinton and Lois Lerner being able to do things that would send regular Americans to prison if they did the same.
It is a great thing to see, and hopefully it will culminate with integrity and respectability coming back to the White House and Hillary being forced into retirement.
