The Democratic National Convention is in chaos as the fallout from the DNC WikiLeaks document dump continues. Early on Monday DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced that she would be stepping down from her post after leaked emails revealed that the DNC actively worked against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders during the presidential primary. Now, it seems as if Bernie Sanders can’t seem to keep his own supporters under control.
In an address to supporters on Monday, the Vermont Senator restated his support for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton…and the audience didn’t seem to like it.
“We have got to defeat Donald Trump,” Senator Sanders said. “And we have got to elect Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine.” The audience greeted the notion with loud boos that were sustained for quite some time.
“Brothers and sisters,” Bernie said repeatedly, attempting to bring the crowd to heel.
