Tens of millions of Americans applauded Donald Trump’s debate performance while watching from the edge of their seats in their own living rooms last night. Patriotic voters were invigorated by the Republican’s comments, and conservative all-star Laura Ingraham thinks she knows why!
“He hit her in a way that not a single Republican in the last 30 years has been able to,” Laura Ingraham said during post-presidential debate coverage. “We’ve been waiting for this moment for someone face-to-face to take down the Clintons.”
Even after staying up late, millions of voters were again energized while sipping their morning coffee and watching the a.m. news show running clips of the debate. This is the Donald Trump his passionate supporters wanted to see during the first debate—and they got what they wanted ten-fold last night.
“He came in with the entire GOP establishment against him. He came in with the media against him. He came in with Hollywood against him. And the entire Bush apparatus…And Romney…And he said, we’re going down the tubes, you’re an architect of this, and we need a new path forward,” Ingraham added.
The debate moderators had to ask the audience to hold their applause multiple times throughout the second presidential debate. Each time the crowd erupted into cheers and loud clapping, it was in response to Donald Trump taking the facts straight to Hillary Clinton and holding her accountable for what she had done during her 30 years in the political arena.
“So, don’t tell me about words. I am absolutely — I apologize for those words, but it is things that people say. But what President Clinton did, he was impeached, he lost his license to practice law. He had to pay an $850,000 fine to one of the women, Paula Jones, who’s also here tonight,” Trump said while being questioned for about the fourth time about the locker room talk that many detractors and GOP elite feigned to be shocked by.
“And I will tell you that when Hillary brings up a point like that and she talks about words that I said 11 years ago, I think it’s disgraceful, and I think she should be ashamed of herself, if you want to know the truth,” Trump added. Applause quickly followed the comment, indicating once and for all the Billy Bush remarks and the tax release issue were not going to derail the Trump train.
Hillary had no real response to the comments nor any similar truth bombs like those Trump unleashed on her all evening. She merely nodded her head and flashed that condescending smile of hers, called honest facts untrue, and said, “When I hear something like that, I am reminded of what my friend, Michelle Obama, advised us all: When they go low, you go high.”
I am surprised uncontrollable laughter did not erupt after the Michelle Obama reference. The Obamas and Clintons do not like each other, folks. If they did, perhaps Barry and Michelle would have hosted the Clintons, maybe once, while in the White House for the past eight years. The two Democrat families do not intermingle, and Michelle made a host of nasty comments about Hillary when she dared to challenge her husband’s run for the Oval Office.
Donald Trump took to the stage knowing he was walking into hostile territory, but the verbal thrashing by the moderators did not seem to phase him a single bit. The fleeing from the Trump camp by establishment Republicans will not cost the outsider votes—We the People are passionate about the movement to restore America to greatness and, quite frankly, have zero use for career politicians and what they think.
