With former Secret Service agent Gary Byrne hitting the media circuit to discuss his new book “Crisis of Character”, presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s temperament has become an issue in the minds of millions of American voters. However, it seems that many in the elite media remain willfully ignore the many flaws of the former Secretary of State while they continue to grasp for anything negative about her opponent Donald Trump.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich joined Tuesday’s Hannity to discuss how and why the elite media seems hell-bent on defeating Donald Trump in November.
“The fix is in, the elite media is terrified of Donald Trump,” Gingrich said. “They are absolutely committed to the election of Hillary Clinton. They are willing to do things like this totally phony Washington Post poll that grossly over-sampled Democrats and was clearly false.”
As we reported on Hannity.com, several questionable polls with samples that were heavily skewed toward Democrats have been lauded by the media in recent weeks.
Gingrich went on to predict that the biased coverage would continue right through to November.
“You just ave to assume that you’re going to get–from now to election day–an unendingly one-sided coverage which does everything it can to prop-up Hillary Clinton and everything it can to shrink Donald Trump,” Gingrich added.
The former Speaker of the House also said that Brexit, the United Kingdom’s recent vote to exit the European Union, indicates that in the end the media coverage and polls might not mean much.
“One of the lessons of Brexit may be that in fact in the end it doesn’t matter. People look past the media. They make out and draw their own conclusions.”
