In former President Bill Clinton’s home state, Republican nominee Donald Trump has a solid lead over Democrat presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton.
Bill held the office of Arkansas governor for 11 years total — maybe that’s why Trump had an 11-point lead in the state, according to a joint poll commissioned by the political website Talk Business and Politics and Arkansas’ Hendrix College.
Hillary held a dismal 36 percent of support, against Trump’s 47. Libertarian Gary Johnson had a surprisingly large 8 percent of the vote, with 9 percent undecided.
Unfortunately, a great deal of the populace has been deciding its vote this year based on who they did not want in the Oval Office, rather than who they support. However, there are plenty of voters who support the candidates who are running for office, totaling 41 percent in Arkansas, according to the TB&P-Hendrix poll.
