Fallen soldiers who die in the line of duty are always tragedies and acts of valor, as they gave their lives protecting the rights and freedoms that many of us take for granted. However, when the grieving father of a fallen soldier is used for political purposes by Hillary Clinton, it’s an absolutely despicable act because it removes any context from the rhetoric.
If you look at the facts, Khizr Khan, the father of a fallen marine, spoke at the Democratic National Convention, with an introduction by Hillary Clinton. Khan stood behind a podium and began to talk about constitutional rights and how Donald Trump has never sacrificed anything in life.
He was quickly rebutted by another marine in a post that’s going viral, as Khan himself didn’t sacrifice anything – his son went willingly, and by that same token, none of the candidates sacrificed anything towards this cause.
However, the fact remains that Trump was never in any position to send anyone to war. Hillary, on the other hand, was, and voted for Khan’s son to enter a war that ultimately led to the rise of ISIS, due to Obama’s inaction and Hillary’s absolute inefficiency in her role of Secretary of State. Any rhetoric that would apply to Trump, using Khan’s logic, should apply to Hillary tenfold – but the media won’t tell you that.
What they will say is how awful Trump is to challenge the father of a fallen soldier, even if he was used as a political prop for a crooked campaign. Thankfully, not everyone in the media is a sock puppet for Hillary, and some speak out with incredible eloquence, people like former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
Gingrich lays out the cold, hard, truth – that Hillary is a bold-faced liar. She deleted top secret information and actually led people to die in war. She doesn’t have an affinity or allegiance to the Constistution, and she’s been in scandal after scandal with nothing sticking due to her political ties. He makes the case that even though Trump probably shouldn’t have picked a fight with the guy, if anyone should apologize to this man for the loss of his son, it should be Hillary. I couldn’t agree more.
Amen, Mr. Gingrich. Amen.
