After Hillary Clinton made the now infamous “basket of deplorables” comment, the conservative side of the nation was sitting there shaking their collective heads. Yours truly was included in that mass head shaking.
Clinton is famous for making ridiculous comments and that one may have been her worst ever. She openly dismissed all Trump supporters as basket-cases and loose cannons. Yea, we’re all so dangerous, Hillary. Maybe dangerous to your chances of losing this election, sure, but not dangerous the way you spoke about. And this wasn’t an off the cuff remark, this was in her speech. She and her speech writers approved that language to be used.
Mike Pence, Donald Trump’s VP pick, took issue with that and what he said is something Hillary should be truly scared of.
Regarding Hillary Clinton’s apparent fainting episode at the World Trade Center memorial, Pence said he and Trump “wish her well and are praying for her swift recovery.”
However, Pence said the campaign will continue to criticize Clinton for her “Basket Of Deplorables” remark at a Barbra Streisand-headlined fundraiser in New York last week.
Calling the remark “shocking”, Pence said that “for Hillary Clinton to literally…say that millions of Americans are irredeemable…I think what you saw there in a prepared speech…[was] the worst statement I have ever heard by a national candidate in my lifetime.”
What Hillary did was essentially lose the support of every single person thinking of switching sides. That may have been a catastrophically small number, but she wasn’t going to win over any die hards. Why make the comment at all? Why bring the voters into it? Why not just stick to Trump?
Here’s the Trump campaign’s response, before you see it on TV:
This is just more proof that Hillary Clinton will stop at nothing and say anything to get elected, even if it means telling half of America that they aren’t worthy of being American.
