It’s one of the most tired and inaccurate attacks the left can make: that Republicans are racist. This is a tactic they pull out whenever they find themselves on a losing side of the argument.
It’s an easy attack to make, considering Civil Rights leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. were democrats. The obvious conclusion is that democrats are in favor of black Americans and Republicans are not. But this generalization ignores the reality that just as many Republicans support civil rights, including Eisenhower and Nixon.
But this lie continues, largely due to a complicit media that propagates it. The reality is, the social programs that the democrats have passed over the many decades since the Civil Rights movement have actually harmed black Americans deeply.
They are treated like children by liberals, prevented from leaving the squalor of the inner city to pursue careers and prosperous lives thanks to programs that hold them back. While conservative values want prosperity and success for all, liberals want to keep minorities in a perpetual holding pattern, dependant on government handouts for their daily needs.
This makes it even more ironic and dishonest, when sad, desperate, and crooked Hillary Clinton tries to make Donald Trump out to be a racist.
From Allen B West:
Ahead of a speech she planned today on the “alternative-right,” Hillary Clinton released a campaign ad linking [Trump] to the KKK.
OK – so they quoted two actual KKK members who said they would be voting for Trump. But if their support of Trump is proof that he’s a racist, she’s going to have to take a hard look at herself.
As Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit reminds us: Of course, she forgot to mention she took $20,000 from the Ku Klux Klan this year.
The Washington Times reported back in April that: Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has received more than $20,000 in donations contributed by members of the Ku Klux Klan, a prominent member of the hate group said Monday. “For the KKK, Clinton is our choice,” said Will Quigg, California Grand Dragon for the Loyal White Knights, Vocativ reported.
There’s a big difference between individuals saying they will vote for a candidate and an entire institution give money to a candidate. Trump can’t control what a KKK member will say. But Hillary Clinton can surely reject a large donation from an organization that supports white supremacy.
But has she? Nope.
“She is friends with the Klan,” Mr. Quigg told Vocativ. “A lot of people don’t realize that.”
Scary words. All those Hispanic and black supporters don’t realize this. It’s not a big surprise, though. Hillary will be friends with anyone who whips out the checkbook, regardless how destructive their plans are for America.
But maybe it’s because the Klan knows that liberal social programs will keep black people and other minorities under the government’s thumb. They will never be able to rise to positions of prominence in this country, because they are told they need help from the government.
That’s something the KKK can get behind.
So the next time you hear a liberal call Donald Trump a racist, remind them of this little chestnut. They won’t have much to say after that.
